2:47Now PlayingMusicians, critics, and fans are mourning the loss of songwriter and producer Burt Bacharach, who passed away at his California home on Tuesday at the age of 94.
His many hits included "What the World Needs Now Is Love," "The Look of Love," "Alfie," "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head," "(They Long to Be) Close to You," “Walk On By” and “Do You Know the Way to San Jose.” The Grammy, Oscar and Tony winner also helped write the themes for such films as “Arthur” and “What’s New, Pussycat?" Bacharach made a cameo in the hit comedy "Austin Powers" and collaborated with stars such as Dionne Warwick and Hal David.
