Democratic candidate Ike McCorkle is running for the seat and potentially against Boebert in 2024. McCorkle must first get through the Democratic primary race which is in June, and Boebert has to win her primary also in June, before both candidates would meet to fight for the seat this fall in November during federal elections for the House of Representative elections in Congress. The race is to fill the seat of Ken Buck who is stepping down.
