Trump issued the directive on Monday.
The freeze would not impact Social Security, Medicare, food stamps, students and scholarships, according to The White House.
However, earlier in the day, U.S. Senator Ron Wyden and other state officials claimed that Medicaid portals were down in the U.S., following Trump’s pause on federal funding.
