Sebastien Beauzile is now completely free of the disease thanks to a groundbreaking genetic treatment that used his own bone marrow to create healthy red blood cells.
This is HUGE for Black communities, where sickle cell has devastated families for generations with little medical funding or attention. Doctors at Cohen Children's Medical Center say this could be the beginning of a real cure for millions.
