13:32Now PlayingHey folks, welcome back to the channel—and today, we’re diving into something really exciting: Steel Aces.
Check out the Aquino tank weekend also!!
This game is an upcoming free-to-play tactical tank shooter for PC, currently in closed beta, and set for public release in late 2025. It's being developed by Armative Studios, based out of Germany and Austria, and it’s already gaining some serious traction with the tank sim community.
Now, this isn't your average arcade-style tank game. Steel Aces is all about realism and historical accuracy. We’re talking over 1,000 armored vehicles—everything from WWI monsters to modern MBTs—carefully modeled with no fictional tanks, no sci-fi nonsense. Just pure metal history, brought to life.
Vehicles are split into Ranks, from I to X for early 20th century tanks, and Rank XI and beyond for the post-1950 era. That means no janky matchups like WWI tanks going toe-to-toe with Leopards or T-90s. Everything is matched based on era and balance. WWI tanks are reserved for special game modes, which honestly is kind of brilliant.
Now, let’s talk gameplay—this game ditches the usual gimmicks like artillery and aircraft spam. Everything here is line-of-sight tank combat. So, positioning, flanking, and map knowledge really matter. The ballistics system is based on realistic shell physics, armor angles, and internal layouts. Every shot counts, especially when you know how to use the right ammo against the right armor.
In terms of progression, it’s skill-based. You can’t just buy your way to victory. Sure, there are collector vehicles and cosmetic items, but nothing pay-to-win. Every tank is balanced for fair play, and that's a huge win for those of us who are tired of shelling out just to stay competitive.
If you’re wondering about game modes—Steel Aces has both PvP and PvE. Ranked matchmaking is based on your current tank’s rank tier, and there are plans to expand into competitive and eSports formats once the player base grows. So far, the devs have been super engaged with the community—posting devlogs, gameplay sneak peeks, and actively responding to feedback.
The game also has ties to real-world military history. It's been featured at events like Militracks 2025 and supported by military museums. The devs clearly care about authenticity, and it shows.
Right now, the game is still in closed beta, but they’re gearing up for a public release. If you want to get involved early, you can sign up through their official website or support them on Patreon for priority beta access and some in-game starter perks.
I’ll be honest—I've played a lot of tank games over the years, but this one’s shaping up to be something special. It’s got that perfect mix of historical realism, tactical gameplay, and fair monetization that we rarely see all in one package.
If you're a fan of War Thunder, World of Tanks, or even old-school sims like Panzer Elite, this might just be your next obsession.
Let me know what you think in the comments, and if you want more gameplay, reviews, or deep dives into specific tanks and tactics in Steel Aces, I’ve got plenty more coming your way.
Hope you enjoy!!
