Because the truth is, when you stand at these places: Stonehenge, Chichén Itzá, Machu Picchu… you’re not seeing the past. You’re seeing a modern interpretation of it.
And once you realise that many of the most famous sites on Earth are just like this, it forces a much bigger question.
