About 50 kilometres northeast of Mexico City, there’s a site that stops people in their tracks the moment they see it.
It’s called Teotihuacan. And at its peak, somewhere between 100,000 and 200,000 people lived there.
That would have made it one of the largest cities on Earth at the time.
It had pyramids that still stand today. And yet, after more than a century of archaeology, we still don’t know who built it… who ruled it… or what language its people spoke.
So what's going on with Teotihuacan?
And why is it one of the greatest mysteries of the ancient world?
