2:54Now PlayingFollowing a five-hour debate, the Senate passed the Omnibus Education Finance Bill, which raises overall funding for early education through high school by about 3.5 percent. Among the many provisions, the bill, which came before the Senate Thursday, March 31st, raises per pupil funding by $50 each; imposes a two-year school employee salary freeze; and transfers ingtegration aid for the largest cities to a statewide literacy program.
