The plan would split net revenue (50/50) from a Minneapolis casino between the White Earth Tribe and the State of Minnesota. Proceeds would help the state fund numerous priorities, including a new Vikings football stadium, while also helping to generate housing and economic opportunities for the Tribe in Northwestern Minnesota. State Representative Kent Eken, DFL-Twin Lakes and Cory Merrifield, Save the Vikes, stress the importance of the proposal for the entire state and also the City of Minneapolis as a stadium site.
