2:32Now PlayingThe 2013 legislative session ended Monday, May 20, with the Minnesota Senate debate over the DFL tax plan to raise an additional $2 billion dollars, a key component of the FY 2014-2015 state budget. The Senate granted the House-Senate agreement on a divided 36-30 vote. The additional revenue funds the DFL budget priorities of adding nearly $500 million dollars for E-12 education; $250,000 for higher education and $400,000 in property tax relief.
