50:12Now PlayingIn the first of two committee hearings, the Advisory Committee on Capitol Area Security began review of a state law allowing permit holders to carry guns in the State Capitol. To do so, the permit holder must notify the Commissioner of Public Safety that a gun will be brought into the building.
During the meeting, chaired by Lieutenant Governor Yvonne Prettner Solon, the varying views regarding the current law were presented and the policy debated.
