According to policymakers, the monthly grants have not increased since the program began. Senator Chris Eaton, DFL-Brooklyn Center, introduced a bill to to the Senate Health and Human Services Finance Committee Wednesday, March 25, that would double the current monthly payment of $532 dollars.
