11:56Now PlayingBudget negotiations are ongoing between the House, Senate and the Governor. Updates have been sporadic and short, with an agreement between key leaders to not discuss negotiations with the media. The Senate floor inadvertently provided an update when Senate Minority Leader David Hann questioned the chairs of the major finance division on the status of their bills.
An indication that progress on negotiations sprung when Senator Ron Latz, DFL-St. Louis Park, said his Omnibus Judiciary and Public Safety Finance bill does have a working budget target of a little more than $2.1 billion dollars. This is $6 million dollars below the Senate budget, $30 million more than the House.
