2:40:25Now PlayingA bill allocating $60 million dollars for small businesses harmed by the ongoing pandemic gained the support of the Senate Tuesday, May 12, on a 59-7 vote. Sponsored by Senator Paul Anderson, R-Plymouth, the measure would provide up to $10,000 per business for covering expenses, including payroll, rent and mortgage payments.
To be eligible, the Minnesota-owned business must have a physical location in the state, employ 50 or fewer full-time staff and demonstrate financial hardship resulting from COVID-19.
In other action, the Senate passed the following bills:
S.F. 3322 (Abeler) Omnibus Human Services Reform Policy Bill;
S.F. 3013 (Weber) Natural Gas Innovation Act;
S.F. 4563 (Rosen) Coronavirus Relief Fund appropriation for counties, cities and towns.
