The report provides lawmakers with the fiscal information they need to craft the state’s next two-year budget, and budget leaders now project a $1.6 billion dollar surplus for the FY 2022-23 biennium, due in part to federal pandemic stimulus. Governor Walz spoke to the press following the budget announcement, and legislative leaders issued video and written statements.
