54:04Now PlayingGovernor Tim Walz presented his fourth State of the State Address before a joint convention of the Legislature Sunday, April 24, and called upon lawmakers to overcome their differences in addressing tax cuts, frontline worker bonus pay, the unemployment insurance trust fund deficit, the child care and personal care worker shortage, and education funding.
Walz urged lawmakers to demonstrate to the country that a divided legislature could reach bipartisan agreements. He touted previous work, including passage of the largest capital improvements project in state history, a insulin affordability measure, middle income tax cuts and efforts to address the pandemic.
