Sponsored by Senator Andrew Lang, R-Olivia, the measure funds the completion of three new veterans homes located in Bemidji, Preston and Montevideo. It also supports a bonus program that encourages enlistment and re-enlistment into the armed services.
The bill, SF 4733, further provides bonuses to veterans who served in the military after September 11, 2001, in the Global War on Terror.
The bill was sent to the House of Representatives for their consideration.
