1:20Now PlayingEach year, state fairgoers are asked to take an opinion poll on pressing state issues. Questions are developed from among the numerous bills proposed by lawmakers and represent pressing issues and concerns that remain unresolved. You’ll find the Minnesota Senate booth and the House of Representatives booth inside the Education building, on Cosgrove street, at the state fair grounds. In addition to making your views known by taking the separate polls offered by the Senate and the House, you may have the opportunity to visit with one or more lawmakers, frequently on hand to listen to the concerns of fairgoers.
The education building also houses booths for some of Minnesota’s nonprofit and educational institutions, offers robotics demonstrations by middle and high school students and displays art, writing and craft projects showcasing the work of some of Minnesota’s most talented kids. If you happen to find yourself at the Great Minnesota Get Together this summer, don’t forget to stop by the Minnesota Senate booth in the Education building to provide your perspective on this year’s state fair opinion poll.
