Republican and DFL leaders separately addressed the media regarding an end of session agreement that will boost funding for nursing homes, invest in state infrastructure projects and allow the legislature to complete its work by Monday's midnight deadline.
The agreement will provide $300 million dollars to prop up struggling nursing homes and a capital improvements package consisting of $1.6 billion in general obligation bonds and $1 billion in cash from the state's surplus. The back-to-back press conferences were held Saturday, May 20.
