15:51Now PlayingAnnunciation Catholic Church families came to the Capitol to rally and sing for change. They advocated for new legislation to prevent gun violence. It’s a topic that Senator Ron Latz, DFL-St. Louis Park, is familiar with. He led the Gun Violence Prevention Working Group during the 2025 interim, where several Annunciation parents testified about the shooting at the school that killed two students. Senator Latz also chairs the Judiciary and Public Safety Committee, where the latest legislation around gun violence prevention is heard. He tells Senate Spotlight’s Veronica Marshall about the challenges around enacting gun violence prevention legislation, and how voters can influence those factors.
