Q: I bought a flat worth Rs 47 lakh in Greater Noida West. The builder has failed to get a CC from the authority. All the walls of the flat had hairline cracks within a year of possession and developer is not fixing this. Who should I approach to get justice?
Answer: You can approach the consumer forum for justice on grounds of deficiency in services. Since the quantum is less than 1 crore, you would have to approach the State Consumer Forum. According to the Uttar Pradesh Apartment Act, 2010, the promoter is liable to obtain a completion certificate from prescribed authority within a period of two years from the date of sale agreement.
