3:52Now PlayingThe Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) on Friday (Sep 23) has cleared the tweaked norms for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and Infrastructure Investment Trusts (InvITs), thereby making them more investor-friendly.
The relaxed rules include direct debt investments by Category 1 & II FPIs, allowing REITs to invest in SPV of group firms, hiking the number of sponsors from 3 to 5, allowing 20% of REITs investments in under-construction projects and including all completed rent-generating projects under REITs.
