But instead of working on controlling the problem that causes a crisis last year, this year the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCDs) are cutting trees and branches and leaves are burnt openly causing air pollution levels to rise even further. Citizens complained against cutting of trees in the name pruning since it is against the laws of the environment. They alleged open dumping of garbage might pose a threat to citizens living in the vicinity.
