The party said that her lung infection has been cured and she is breathing without respiratory support. On 13 November, she issued a statement which said that she has taken rebirth and that she was waiting to resume her duties after complete recovery.
Amma has been undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai since 22 September. Jayalalithaa was admitted to the hospital after she complained of fever and dehydration. Later, the hospital had said she was being treated for infection with respiratory support.
