57:51Now PlayingConcerned over states diluting key provisions of the RERA, the Union housing and urban poverty alleviation ministry called a meeting on this Tuesday to take stock of the implementation of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA). Chief Secretaries of Housing Department of all states attended the meeting that was chaired by housing minister M Venkaiah Naidu. Deepa Rana gets us more details. The meeting was held following complaints received from various consumer groups stating that several states, including Gujarat, UP, Maharashtra and MP, had diluted key provisions related to ongoing projects in their state law to favor builders.
