8:01Now PlayingAn assistant sub-inspector (ASI) from Tumkur has been suspended from duty after he was accused of raping a mentally challenged woman on Saturday (Jan 14) night.
As per the complaint filed by the victim's mother, the culprit ASI Umesh from the Tumkur Rural police station, spotted the 31-year-old woman at a bridge near the Antharasanahalli bypass while he was patrolling the area and questioned why she was standing there all by herself.
