Question: What is the procedure to get a voter’s card made?
Answer: If you aren’t a voter already, it’s too late to vote for the upcoming Elections or get one made which will enable you to vote in this Election because the voter’s list is already prepared in January 2017. For future Elections, you will have to go to the Election Commission website. There is online registration which is possible. The website will list all the documents you will need. You can also choose to go to Election office; there are election offices in different wards you can approach. Some standard documents you will need are ration card, Aadhar card and residential proof. If you are a voter in some different state and got shifted, you will have to delete your name from the existing voter list and get your name added to voter list in the area residing and only then you will get to vote.
