In a landmark judgement, the Supreme Court gave all of the four accused death penalty.

Responding to the much anticipated verdict of the Delhi gangrape case, Union Cabinet Minister for Women & Child Development, Maneka Gandhi said, "I wish the judgement would have come sooner, but I am happy that it did."
