53:33Now PlayingCentral Board of Film Certification’s (CBFC) chief Pahlaj Nihalani has yet again turned his back on the media’s questions about words such as ‘cow’, ‘Hindutva’ and ‘Gujarat’ being slashed from an upcoming documentary based on Noble Laureate Amartya Sen.
After a screening of the documentary titled, The Argumentative Indian, directed by economist Suman Ghosh at the CBFC’s regional office in Kolkata, the director was told that the movie would not be granted a U/A certificate and released unless words such as ‘cow’, ‘Hindu’, ‘Gujarat’ and ‘India’ be beeped out.
