The Minister has been accused of favoring a private developer by expanding the scope of a project by changing it into a redevelopment scheme. “I am the one who demanded an inquiry into the issue and I will step down if the Chief Minister asks me to”, said Mehta.
The Opposition has alleged that the move may have profited the developer more than Rs 600 crore.
