36:07Now PlayingModi Government made a move on the last day of the parliament to make a reservation for the Economically weak of the upper caste section.
Upper castes have been the captive vote bank of the BJP for a while. In the year 1996, BJP had 35% upper caste polarisation in its favour. This increased to 47% in 1998 and slipped back to 35% in 2004. By 2009, the upper caste advantage for the BJP had gone down to 29% but recovered remarkably to 47% in 2014.
But there are many problems which will be faced by this Bill to be approved, so is this just move to win the vote bank or the NDA government is determined to implement this Bill?
