On The Urban Debate, The Supreme Court transferred all cases regarding a plea which is to link Aadhaar Card with your social media accounts. This was based on a plea which was filed by Facebook. The Tamil Nadu government had originally asked for Aadhaar Card to be linked to Facebook to prevent cybercrime and track anti-national activities. The State government is now being represented by our Attorney General K. K. Venugopal. However, Facebook has opposed the proposal saying that their WhatsApp platform is already encrypted and a tracking Aadhaar would lead to a breach of privacy.
