Another PMC depositor died from a heart attack. Andrew Lobo, a 74-year-old PMC depositor had savings of Rs. 60 lakhs and was not able to withdraw the money for his medical expenses.
It has been 42 days since the PMC Scam came to light but there have been no assurances from RBI or government yet.
Senior Lawyer Swapnil Kothari said, "The RBI needs to put its hand in its huge coffers, pull out a little bit of money & give it to the PMC Bank, so it can return the money to its depositors & then recover from the sale of the assets.
