Joint Secretary Lav Agarwal says, ‘Covid-19 has affected the whole world for 5 months. 42298 cases have recovered. There are 51,149 active cases. Top-level monitoring and graded approach have been helpful. The PM had mentioned that the whole world has been affected. The recovery rate has increased to 39.2 % from 7.1 % after the first lockdown. 0.45 % of cases are on ventilator and the timely identification has helped in keeping the numbers low. There are new guidelines for discharging the patients which says that if the patients do not show recurrence after 10 days, then the person can be in quarantine for 7 days.
