2:47Now PlayingMumbai Civic Body Chief, Iqbal Singh Chalal has ordered ward officers to register criminal offence against private hospitals, clinics and nursing homes that have failed to open despite government orders.
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said that regardless of repeated orders private hospitals and clinics have remained shut amid COVID-19 lockdown crisis. Hence, to take strict actions for violating orders, the civic body will now lodge an FIR against them. The BMC had previously ordered that all hospitals will remain open in spite of the Coronavirus outbreak, to treat non-covid patients.
