He say, ‘The Centre & state were in high degree of alertness. In spite of that, nature’s fury was such that there was loss of lives & infrastructure. A major operation will have to be undertaken. The topmost priority is looking after people who have been evacuated. There has to be the restoration of road & telecom connectivity. In several areas reconstruction will need to be done from the scratch’.
