Joint Secretary, Lav Agarwal says, ‘The lockdown has been the biggest reason for the low number of cases and deaths, as the chain of transmission was broken. India has done much better than many countries in the world. We have to be more vigilant and careful and keep the numbers lower. Infrastructure improvement is a continuous plan and is improving. One single case cannot reflect the national situation. Earlier identification is the key to the low fatality rate. A detailed guideline has been issued by the Central Work Department on the use of ACs in the summer’.
