1:36Now PlayingThousands of workers in Maharashtra’s Vasai area are still waiting to board trains. At least 2000 at this moment migrants are gathered there and casualties have been started happening with the vulnerable heat especially for elderlies.
Vasai’s DY SP, Ashwini Patil speaks on this situation, she says 7 Shramik trains were organized by the government for migrants out of which 4 got cancelled due to unavailability of trains, this triggered the labourers to gather here and wait for their trains. She also said that the police team is appealing to the migrants to go back and to not violate lockdown norms as social distancing was clearly seen being flouted.
