2:59Now PlayingIn order to contain the spread of coronavirus, Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru, Karnataka has introduced contactless journey for its passengers. This is being done to ensure there is no physical contact with the airport staff and emphasising more on the safety of passengers by avoiding maximum exposure at the airport maximum. The first step is where a passenger will undergo a thermal scan. The passenger will be allowed entry once the Aarogya Setu app on their mobile phone has the ‘you are safe’ message. CISF personnel will verify the boarding pass and photo identity through a magnified glass screen. After which the passenger will be then be allowed to print the baggage tag, then the passenger will be made to go through the pre-embarkation security check and frisking. The final step before boarding an aircraft will be where a passenger’s temperature will be checked, safety kit will be issued and then the passenger will be allowed to embark the flight.
