Two NDRF teams are deployed in Palghar where a red alert is issued by IMD which means that Palghar is likely to witness extremely heavy rainfalls is isolated parts.
The NDRF teams in Palghar have started their survey in the coastal villages to understand how many people have to be evacuated. The first location of the survey of one NDRF team is Kelva bridge. This bridge connects around 30 villages to the Palghar city. If the bridge will get flooded or damaged, it will cut these villages from the city. In that scenario, NDRF will use boats to evacuate people.
