Even though the state has been seeing a steady increase in Coronavirus cases, with the number of cases crossing 4000 with 53 deaths and 1514 recoveries, Karnataka still seems to have managed the fight against the pandemic much better than most of the states such as Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi which has reported a high number of cases and mortality rates. And one of the reasons as mentioned by deputy chief minister of Karnataka Ashwathnarayan has been the constant monitoring of the cases along with active participation of the citizens in following the protocols on the ground has been the city’s war room headquartered in BBMP office and the state war room set up in Balabroorie government house. Working round the clock, and keeping a vigil on those infected and ensuring that it does not spread, officials have been collecting information given by the field officers working in the containment zones. Some of the measures taken up by the coronavirus warriors in war rooms have been making calls on a daily basis and keeping track of those who are on home quarantine and mapping the regions that have been affected and monitor the protocols that are being implemented on the ground.
