Gandhi market in Sion is the usual flood-prone area. The IMD had predicted heavy rainfall in parts of the city for 3 hours beginning 9.30 am as an aftermath of Cyclone Nisaraga that passed through Maharashtra coast on June. People can be seen wading through ankle-deep water, struggling to move their vehicles through the waterlogged street. The serpentine queue of vehicles was witnessed. Traffic cops and BMC staff rushed to the spot to remove waterlogging.
