3:08Now PlayingLast night Mumbai disaster management team received calls of foul smell owing to a gas leak. The fire brigade team was mobilized to look into it. Disaster Management Control Room (DMCR) gave address locations of US vitamin Govind (East) and Fire Engine & senior officers were deputed for the search of unknown gas leakage.
Other service calls of gas leakage came from Chembur/ Mankhurd/ Ghatkopar east and west, Powai & now in Andheri. Fire officials said the investigation was made at the entire company of US Vitamin & the nearby area but no leakage was found in given locations given by DMCR.
Again next locations were given by DMCR at Pant Nagar Police station, Ghatkopar east. The FIre engine and Senior Officers were deputed at location and search was made within 1-2 Km of the area as per Disaster Management location.,but no gas leakage was found.
Further calls were received from other areas in the Andheri side. In all 17 Fire engines were deputed for the search of gas leakage and simultaneously announcement was made from Fire engine not to panic in the area of Chembur, Mankhurd, Ghatkopar east and west, Powai, Andheri.
As a remedy, people were advised to wear wet handkerchieves, wet towels on the face area and nose as a mask if they smell foul odor.
