3:29Now PlayingThe Srinagar - Ladakh Highway has been closed for civilian traffic. All vehicular traffic other than essential goods is being stopped at the Gangangir checkpoint. These restrictions were laid down due to the rising tension of the face-off between India and China not just on Line of Actual Control but also near the valley.
The Indo-China clash has already paid a price of 20 Indian soldiers, 4 more were severely injured and many others have gone missing. Over 40 casualties from China have also been reported. Hence to avoid more risk for the civilians' several limitations has been placed near the war zone.
