The states haven't really shown any sign of a decrease in the recent future. While the country has had a unique approach towards tackling the same. Each state has its own story.
Public Health Expert, Dr Abhay Shukla, says, for Maharashtra - a recent death audit showed that 76% of the cases had no known contact, & thus these were cases of #CommunityTransmission; case fatality rate is 3.7%.
According to the TIMES NETWORK Protiviti India Outbreak Report, by June 30, Delhi will see around 41,469 active #COVID cases. By July end, the cases will begin to drop. Dr. Harish Gupta of Delhi Medical Association says Delhi lacks awareness campaign. Chennai will see a peak by July 3, hitting around 21,000 active COVID cases.
Maharashtra is the state that is doing the highest number of testing. On March 31, the doubling rate was 3.5% and today it is 25.9%. We've cut down the price of testing by more than 50%: Cylde Castro, NCP spokesperson.
