The method is deemed to be a lot of quicker and cheaper than the testing kits being deployed so far. On the first day of the rapid testing kits, the numbers were lower than expected, however, they are expected to rise as the government undertakes the activity on a large scale. The ramping of the testing in the national capital comes days after the Centre stepped in to assist the Delhi Government to hone their COVID response. Home Minister Amit Shah after the review meetings had promised that the government will ramp up testing in the capital, by almost 6 times than the current rate.
