5:30Now PlayingUnion Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Thursday launched the country's first mobile laboratory for COVID-19 testing to extend services to remote areas. The initiative is a part of the Atmanirbhar Bharat or self-reliant India campaign, working under the joint collaboration of Ministry of Science and Technology and Andhra Pradesh Med-tech Zone. The primary goal of the mobile testing lab will be to combat shortage in healthcare technologies in Indian villages in a bid to combat spread in these areas. The Centre and state governments across the country have been looking to come up with novel initiatives in a bid to tackle the looming healthcare crisis.
