When Basudev Singh (35) left home on Tuesday morning in the Dharanagar village of Patna he had little idea of what was to come and especially now after Havildar Sunil Kumar had come to a forward post. Sunil Kumar had visited home 7 months back and left assuring his father and his wife and children that all will be good and he would be back soon. Havildar Sunil Kumar left behind his wife, a 12-year-old daughter and 2 sons.
The family issued a statement on Tuesday wearing a symbol of pride and dignity, said, 'We are a family of soldiers, we have a sense of pride.'
