3:03Now PlayingA new lockdown was implemented on the 19th of June in the State of Tamil Nadu as the number of Coronavirus cases has only raised in the recent period. The highest number of positive cases reported in a day is 2,532 and the highest number of deaths reported in a day is 53. However, pandemic deaths in Chennai alone have crossed 600.
Almost 29,970 persons were tested today for COVID-19. The State is finding it difficult to control the numbers even though 4 districts are under total lockdown. Infection numbers once again are notably rising in from other districts, coming up to 987 on 21st June. The State Chief Minister Edapadi K Palanisamy requests people of Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram and Thiruvallur to follow lockdown rules to fight the Coronavirus.
