Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal says, ‘Our fight with Coronavirus started in March. Indians who were in the affected countries wanted to come back to India. 35,000 people came to Delhi from abroad. Many of the returnees went home and since there were no tests, no guidelines, it started spreading. But, due to lockdown, the spread was contained. In the first week of June, there was a shortage of beds in Delhi, which lead to an increase in deaths. We had 2 options, either to continue with the lockdown or fight COVID-19. We decided to fight. Now, there are no shortages of beds in Delhi now. 20,000 tests are done daily in #Delhi. I want to thank the Central Government for providing antigen kits to us. We will win the fight against Coronavirus’.
